To go along with the announcement of the Nokia 9300 Smartphone, it's probably a good time to remind OPL watchers that the OPL Runtime for the 92x0 Platform is fully compatible with the Series 80 powered 9300 and 9500 phones, as well as all the OPL programs out there for the 92x0 Platform. You can download the 92x0 Developers SDK from the Sourceforge Site.
Reports of OPL's death have been greatly exaggerated. In fact OPL has never looked better since it went Open Source than it does just now. Well it does if you know all the stuff we have lined up over the next few months. The OPL Diary is going to bring everyone back up to speed over the next few posts. How are the various runtimes looking? What about OPL on the new Nokia 9500 Communicator? I'll look at the OPL Applications released on the internet over the summer, talk about the plans for OPL at this year's Symbian Exposium, and bring you all the news on OPL as we leave the beta stage and move towards v1.00 releases on both the UIQ and Series 60 platforms.
