As I received the journal I tried to figure out what landmark in Finland could compete with the London Eye. Finlandia hall? Sibelius monument?
And then I got it. This is Nokia-land, so...
It was really cold, it actually started to snow the next day. But the autumn colours were still there.
Not my car btw.
(I guess in all honesty I should confess that these photos are taken by my husband, because he has more talent in photography than me.)
The headquarters is actually situated in Espoo, just a few meters from the Helsinki city limits. People working there have a pretty nice view over to the sea. Secret to their success maybe?
Did you think that Nokia was only about mobile phones? Everybody in Finland used to have those rubber boots. Nokia, the mobile company, does not manufacture them anymore, but Nokian, the rubber company, still does.
So wasn't that interesting or what? No? Oh well, that was my contribution anyways... :)
I then packed the journal tightly and sent it off to Skopje, Macedonia.
Hoping to read the entries that will be added later in this diary.
